ABOUT MASBBALL AAU PROGRAM
MASBBALL thoughts on the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and its role in youth sports development. As a national organization focused on promoting amateur sports, the AAU provides a valuable avenue for fostering a strong work ethic through training.
At MAS, we firmly believe in prioritizing training over excessive gameplay, especially during developmental stages. We feel that participating in a tournament once a week or perhaps a couple of times per month strikes a healthy balance. Overloading young players with multiple tournaments per week may not effectively build their skill level and basketball IQ and could potentially hinder their progress if fundamental aspects of the game aren’t consistently practiced and implemented.
