A 1998 graduate of West Morris Mendham High School.  Tara was a member of the 1998 TOC State Championship Team that finished 32-0.

Tara then took her talents to Ramapo College where she was a four-year member of the women’s basketball team.  During her collegiate career, Tara was selected to the NJAC 1st Team All-Conference, All-Metro Team, and Co-Betty Logan Female Athlete of the Year during her sophomore year. During her junior year, she moved on to earn NJAC 2nd Team All-Conference honors. She wrapped up her collegiate career with Most Valuable Player honors at the NJAC/CUNY Senior All-Star Game.

Tara netted her 1,000th point in a conference match-up with Rowan University during her junior season.  She recorded 1,415 points during her tenure with Ramapo. She finished her college basketball career with 78 blocks and 569 rebounds.

Tara was inducted into the Ramapo College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009.  Tara ranks third for women and ninth all-time in scoring for Ramapo.

After completing her bachelor degree from Ramapo College in 2002, Tara accepted a position with the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) from 2002-2005.  In 2005, Tara was hired as the Academic Athletic Coordinator at St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, NJ.  She earned her Master’s degree in Education: Administration and Supervision in 2008.  In 2014 Tara accepted a position with Rutgers University as the Manager of Academic Programs.  She currently resides in Washington Township, NJ with her husband Tim and children Tyler and Teagan.
